In the blogosphere you typically get just one shot at impressing a visitor. Too many new blogger start their blog with just 2 posts and then start on promotion, In the world of blogging, you are selling your writing. If you can't give people a picture of what your blog is all about and what type of writing will be on it, so why the people throw a link you way, like your fan page or subscribe to your RSS feed? When someone subscribes it's mean that they're giving a vote of confidence that your site is worthwhile, so give them something to grab on to, and let them know your space won’t be “just another abandoned blog.”

4. Be Yourself


Remember, that your blog is your brand, and your readers will keep coming to hear what you have to say. People don't read blogs simply to get news. They could read a newspaper for  news. Instead people read blogs to get blogger's opinions on the news reports, life and more. So, don't blog like a reporter. Blog like you're having a conversation with your readers.

5. Keep Learning


Everyday there are new tools and widgets are available to bloggers. As you develop your blog, take the time to research for new tools and features, and also keep an eye on the latest news from the blogosphere. When a new tool will roll out that can make your life easier. So, you should not stop learning.

6.Take Risks


Beginner bloggers are ofter afraid of the new blogging tools available to them. You should take risks and try new things on your blog. You should add new plug-in's to your blog, and it's important that you keep your blog fresh by changing your blog design that will enhance your blog.

7. Ask for help


Even the most experienced bloggers understand that the blogosphere is an ever-changing place and no one knows everything there. Most importantly, blogger are part of close community. In fact, bloggers are some of the most approachable and helpful people you can find. So, don't be afraid to reach out to fellow bloggers for help.

8. Be Persistent


A busy blog is a useful blog. You should update your blog daily. The usefulness of blogs comes from their timeliness. It's important not to publish posts that may bore your audience. The best way to keep your readers coming back is to always post something new and meaningful for them to see.

9. Know Your Audience


Your blog's design and content should reflect the expectations of your audience. If your audience is teenagers, then your blogs design and content would quite different than a blog targeted to corporate professionals. Your audience will have inherent expectations for your blog. Don't confuse your audience but rather meet those expectations to gain readers loyalty.

10. Be your own promoter

You should seed your best articles, and by using popular and specific keywords as tags, you can bring a large number of readers to your site.     1. You are absolutely right, pal. Many modern bloggers sin with this, especially the younger generation. I hate to see people write totally illiterate and offer empty content. I keep repeating that content is king. If you have nothing to say, do not write at all, do not distract the reader. When I work on a blog post, I always do research. It doesn't matter if you write about aluminum alloy or paints, always do your research!
